Cabernet – now with its own carafe

Fans of the series have long desired a matching carafe to round out the set and complete the wine experience, and now Holmegaard is meeting this demand with the new Cabernet carafe. The carafe is perfect for young everyday wines as well as vintage wines on special occasions, and is naturally a must when the men get together for wine tasting and blind tests of fine grapes from all over the world without revealing the labels.

The Cabernet wine carafe, 150 cl. and Cabernet white and red wine glasses, 25 cl, 35 cl and 50 cl. will be in shops from mid-February 2012.

The Future family welcomes new bowls and more colours

The Future series is the glass artist Peter Svarrer’s vision for the glass series of the future, and with it he has touched on something universal in the spirit of the times. We can’t seem to get enough of the transparent glass and feminine shape which has already spread to vases, bowls and carafes in soft pastels. In Spring 2012, we add more functional designs to the Future family which will now include glasses in new colours and matching individual bowls for snacks, condiments and other delicacies.
New additions to the spring collection also include Future glasses in petal and spring. Future bowls, 13 cm in diameter, come in a pack of two in the colours petal, spring, aquamarine or blue.

Both new products will be available in shops from early February 2012.

Upcycling – the newest design philosophy

Reduce, repair, reuse, redesign… One concept, many names. But one thing is certain, we are witnessing the birth of a new design philosophy for the 21st century. Upcycling is the art of repurposing materials into something new and better. Peter Svarrer took up this challenge and the result is Holmegaard’s new series Nordlys, which gives old jam jars new life as modern glass art.
Every product in the Nordlys series is created by melting down used jam jars and adding a touch of the special aurora that sometimes dances across the northern night skies.

The Nordlys series comprises tumblers (25 cl), bowls (12.4 cm in diameter) and votives (H: 5.5 cm) in the colours lagoon, spring and white.
The series will be available in shops from mid-March 2012.

Minima – aesthetic minimalism

Minima is Holmegaard’s answer to what a delicate everyday storage solution can look like when treated with integrity. Internationally recognized designer Cecilie Manz has won numerous awards for Minima. The popular carafes are now launched in three sizes in”fine glass” quality that is particularly strong with exceptional clarity.
Minima engages functionality and aesthetics for your everyday enjoyment.

Minima carafes 55 cl., 90 cl. And 140 cl. will be in shops from end of March 2012

Dusting off a glass art classic

The ever-popular Mad Men universe has given us a taste for buxom hourglass figures and feminine charms. It has also inspired Holmegaard to dive into its design archives in search of inspiration from the hip 60s. And now Jacob E. Bang’s curvaceous JEB ’65 vase is being relaunched in opaline glass, which perfectly suits today’s retro style.

Narrow at the waist, broad across the shoulders, free of extraneous details and dressed in a discreet white, it is almost sculptural in its simplicity. The small midriff is also helpful when arranging flowers, making even small bouquets look more abundant.

The JEB ’65 is available in two sizes – 14.8 cm and 21 cm – in opaline white for EUR 33.95 (RRP) and EUR  49.95 (RRP), respectively.

The new vases will be in shops from mid-February 2012.
