New glasses for the luncheon table of the future

Peter Svarrer’s curvaceous and harmonious glass series, Future, has grown steadily since the introduction of the very first water glass. The various carafes, water and wine glasses in the Future Family are perfect for the modern table on any occasion.

Now it is time to cater to the lunch table as Holmegaard adds a new little sister to the Future series, the snaps glass, which also works well as an all-round glass for serving little delectable mouthfuls.

The Future snaps glasses (6 cl.) come in packages of six and will be available in shops from early February 2013.

 

Great news for great wines - Sommelier glass

Perfection is Holmegaard’s glass series for the wine enthusiast and the professional sommelier, and with the introduction of the sommelier glass this spring, the series again finds its inspiration in the latest wine trends.

Today’s wines are generally more full-bodied with a stronger bouquet than wines produced ten years ago. Thus new times call for new glasses, and it is with today’s “great, full-bodied” wines in mind that Holmegaard now introduces a new glass in the award-winning Perfection series.

The Perfection sommelier glasses (0.9 l) are available in shops from early February 2013.

Crystal-clear, dust-free serving

In spring 2013, Tom Nybroe will be supplementing his excellent design with a holder developed especially for the "Perfection" carafe to ensure that it is always sparkling clean and ready for the next decanting. After use, simply carefully rinse the carafe with hot water and then place it upside down in the holder. This helps avoid calcium deposits and dust collecting in the bottom of the carafe, which can cause the surface of the wine to become cloudy the next time the carafe is used. The Perfection carafe holder is coated with silicone to protect the carafe and the surface on which it stands, making it the best possible solution for storing a carafe.
Will be available in shops from early February 2013.

Design With Light XL

Since its introduction in 2011, Maria Berntsen’s "Design with Light" series has become a key design in Holmegaard’s product range, where the three sizes in clear or frosted glass are often mixed and used in groups.

The trend of portable light sources has grown BIG, and Holmegaard is celebrating this in spring 2013 by adding yet another product to the family: Design with Light XL, which is 45 cm tall and can easily light up an entire room or terrace.

Like the other members of the family, the supersize lantern comes with a strap in full-grain leather that grows more beautiful with age and reflects the Scandinavian tradition for natural elements in interior design.

The lantern will be in shops from early February 2013.
 

Cocktails are back

Spring 2013 will see the advent of cocktail hour in Holmegaard’s award-winning Perfection series designed by the wine expert Tom Nybroe. The sturdy stem and comfortable lip on the glass make the cocktail easy to manage and sip, while the voluminous surface renders the glass perfect for everything from Strawberry Daiquiris to Cosmopolitans.

Like the other glasses in the Perfection series, the cocktail glass is multifunctional. Desserts, sundaes and starters will look enticing served on a pedestal, and it is almost as if the tall glasses were created especially for serving classic shrimp cocktail with shellfish decoratively balanced on the edge.

The Perfection cocktail glasses (38 cl) will be available in shops in early March 2013.
