Here you will find the latest news from Holmegaard
Holmegaard draws on a unique, majestic serving tradition. The iconic Danish glass manufacturer was established in 1823 by Countess Henriette Danneskiold-Samsøe, and proudly bears the title “Purveyor to the Royal Court”. In 1992, Holmegaard even had the privilege of designing a glassware range for the Silver Wedding of the Danish Queen and Prince Consort as a gift from the municipal council of the City of Copenhagen. The range was created by Anja Kjær, who took her inspiration from Venetian glass art to design water, wine and champagne glasses for use at grand occasions for the Royal Family – and now there is good news for all glass connoisseurs. By special permission, Holmegaard is introducing Regina – as the range has now been dubbed – to its product selection, thus paying tribute to utility art and glass craft in a very special league that has always been a part of the brand’s DNA.
The Holmegaard Regina Champagne glass (35 cl) is priced at EUR 79.95 each. The red wine glass (28 cl) is priced at EUR 74.95 each. The white wine glass (18 cl) is priced at EUR 67.95 each. The port glass (10 cl) is priced at EUR 67.95 each, and the water glass (19 cl) is priced at EUR 54.95 each (RRP). The new product will be in shops from early March.
In recent years, the bar trolley has made a comeback in contemporary home interiors, and with good reason. A well-stocked bar trolley exudes the unmistakable aura of Don Draper and elegant retro vibes, and the cocktail cult and resurgence of classic types of spirits such as gin and whisky have also created a need for stylish storage of bottles, glasses and gadgets. In spring 2018, a new bar accessory is reporting for duty with Holmegaard’s relaunch of the iconic No. 5 Carafe. Per Lütken designed the original carafe in 1970, and the combination of simple lines and thick, mouth-blown glass is still highly relevant today – both for the bar trolley and for everyday stylish serving of water, juice, etc.
The Holmegaard No. 5 Carafe (H:31 cm/0.85 cl) in mouth-blown glass is priced at EUR 99.95 (RRP). The carafe supplements the existing range of No.5 beer, shot and schnapps glasses, and the new product will be available in shops from the beginning of March.
